The introduction

The huge success of Goldsmiths new concept led to us being approached in 2022 to develop and build a new concept store for the luxury Mappin & Webb brand, also owned by the Watches of Switzerland Group. Mappin & Webb York being the first store with more to follow.

The brief

Development, manufacture and installation of high-quality display fixtures for this luxury jewellers. Intricate detailing, high spec lighting, electronic locking systems, bespoke metal finishes and curved glass combine to achieve beautiful displays and hospitality areas, whilst meeting high security standards.

The process

We embarked on the development of the new concept design for Mappin & Webb stores, working alongside a design agency and the Watches of Switzerland Group. The range of watches, jewellery, consultation, hospitality and window fixtures were brought to life with raw mock ups, working prototypes, material sampling and detailed drawings.

The team

Attention to detail in the drawing office, highly skilled workmanship in production, dedicated project management and a professional onsite team gave a fantastic and luxurious result. We have turned out some very high-quality displays and risen to the challenge of this complex design.

The Antone team are a pleasure to have on site. A slick outfit whose contractors fit in, work around other trades as needed and are always pleasant, professional and skilled in their work, achieving a great installation. Site safety is paramount and their teams always comply with site rules, attend inductions and provide RAMS in advance. Self-snagging is a very welcome part of the Antone service.
