Project overview
The brief
Having worked on many beauty fixture projects with Debenhams for over 30 years, we were thrilled to be contacted by Roomes Of Upminster with the opportunity to design fixtures for their newly refurbished Beauty Department, working closely alongside the retailer and our freelance designer.
The challenge
Creating generic fixtures with display areas for product, storage for stock, fabric lightbox graphics, signage for brand logos and space for one-to-one consultations. We ensured the overall vision was met through extensive research into various finishes and prototyping.
The fixtures
The focal aim was to achieve a modular construction to aid future store planning. We gave the generic fixtures a unique design detail by incorporating the tile effect to some of the drawer fronts, a perfect subtle nod to the Art Deco architecture of the exterior building and heritage of the store.
