This month we have had people and projects in South Africa, India, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland, and many cities in mainland UK. We are always very proud to be a British manufacturer, and particularly pleased to be exporting prestigious work abroad. |

Auguts 2009 | Technology
Thanks to all in finance and administration who have worked so hard to implement the new integrated software system through-out Antone. The SAP Business 1 system now provides the company with a fully integrated data processing system. Live data can be accessed for all projects and real time costs reported as needed. |

Congratulations to Suzanne and Craig Smith upon the arrival of Elliot, born at 4.32pm on 10th June! Pictured with big brother, Reece, Elliot weighed a healthy 9lb 10oz and has been sleeping and eating well so far. Following a visit to see Suzanne and new addition, all commented how well and calm she seems, so far! |

We are very pleased to have recently completed a full shop refurbishment project for ‘ the purveyor of quintessential English style’, Gieves and Hawkes. Formed from two businesses in the 18th century, and with a history of kitting out the military, these Savile Row tailors offer well-cut, classy, contemporary styles for men. |

Jacky Kovacs recently enjoyed a well deserved holiday diving in Egypt. She dived every day of the fortnights holiday and is now qualified to 40 metres. Jacky has also developed a rare talent for spotting Sharks and gained the nick name ‘Shark Bait’ from fellow Diving club friends.
Antone colleagues have been entertained by the many underwater photographs. Jacky has commented that this type of photography is a little more interesting than the site survey photos she is normally involved with !
Already booked for a further trip in August, we look forward to hearing of further underwater adventures from JK ! |

Congratulations and best of luck to Tom Norton who will be marrying Amy French on Saturday 25th April at Ratby Church at 2pm. The happy couple will then be jetting off on honeymoon to Mexico.
For his last day as an Antone Bachelor, Tom willingly dressed up flashing L Plates and matching pink accessories, a rare sight on the Antone shopfloor.
Tom has also enjoyed a stag weekend in Magaluf, whilst Amy enjoyed her Hen night in Nottingham
We wish them both much luck and happiness for the future. |

Everyone at Antone would like to congratulate Natasha Masters on celebrating her 30th Birthday. The sales office has never seen so many balloons and flowers !!
Gifts included a diamond ring, silk scarf, a pink Mary Poppins dress, champagne, a silver bracelet and lots of flowers and chocolates. |

March 2009 | Education
Antone has again had the pleasure of working with two Business Study groups from the local university. The second year students executed sales and marketing related issues and presented their findings, suggestions and conclusions on campus in Leicester. One group focused on business options for combating the seasonal nature of Antone’s traditional trade cycle, producing innovative ideas across a broad spectrum of markets. The second group focused energy on an in-depth market analysis and a strong recommendation for a culturally and commercially suitable business partner / customer going forward. The presentations followed on from full factory tours and the establishment of detailed briefs for consideration.
This is the second time that Antone has supported this initiative and we were again very impressed with the enthusiasm, research and eloquence of the presentations. Well done to all of the students involved ! |

Antone is sometimes asked to execute confidential projects for its customers. We are very proud to have recently completed development and prototype work for De Beers. Cut diamonds and diamond jewellery supplied by De Beers are exclusively available from their boutiques around the world. As is always the case, we are pleased to utilise our extensive design development facilities and employ our best craftsmen to take projects off the page and into 3 dimensions. |

In a shock move, Danny Smith has decided to change his car. His estate Volvo has provided him with 21 years loyal service and has finally been traded in for . . . . . . . . another Volvo. The new car is barely run in at 8 years old with a mere 100,000 miles on the clock!
The blue Volvo started it’s working life as an Antone company car in 1985 when Dallas and Miami Vice were still on television, Gorbachev became Soviet leader and Ronald Reagan was resident in the White House. Having completed 200,000 miles Danny commented that he would have kept the car if it hadn’t started to show signs of ‘wear and tear’ ! |
